The Phantom Broadcast is an experimental rock quintet based in Chicago, IL.

Phantom aims to create music that pushes the boundaries of Indie and Post Rock with the influence of Folk, Jazz, Classical, and even Metal tendencies. The results yield dynamic instrumentation where creativity and emotion are paramount in the composition of each song. Aiming to construct an architectural sonic space, the five collaborate on storytelling and presentation.

Having released 3 full lengths and 2 eps, the band has grown, mutated, amputated, and grown some more with each recording. After almost 2 years of writing and recording, The Phantom Broadcast will be releasing the first installment of Antiquities, Vol. I (with Antiquities Vol. II seeing release come this Summer, tentatively). The themes explored on the double EP deal with the challenges of maintaining good mental health, the anxiety coupled with living and thriving in a large city like Chicago, and the undeniable pain of growing into adulthood in the 2010s.

Over the last few years, the group has performed throughout Chicago in major venues such as Martyrs’, Subterranean, The Empty Bottle, and Chop Shop. Currently the band is booking a Midwest tour for the late Spring of 2019.
